This knife is classic yet sophisticated. I had the blade inscribed with, my spouses, fathers name, date of birth & death on the blade. It was a fantastic gift on his birthday to her. It reminded her of him and made it a much brighter day.

This knife is fantastic. As sturdy as it is handsome. I'll make this short by saying I bought one and was so impressed when I got it that I immediately ordered 2 more. One as an edc to beat up, one to keep pristine, and one for my brothers birthday. His birthday is not for almost 4 months but at this low price I assumed they would run out. I am an avid Budk shopper and this is definately one of the best deals I've gotten on here. I'm tempted to order even more because they are of such great quality and so good looking for so cheap.

Highly recommend, very sturdy with good weight makes knife very functional. I would say this knife will not let you down.

The hinge "grinds" ever so slightly during the first 30 degrees of travel, actually it is probably the lock back spring and/or the bottom of the blade that aren't polished sufficiently, but it is minor and does not affect the function. The lock release is VERY stiff at first but seems to break in with a modest amount of use. Still requires a fair bit of pressure, but at least it doesn't seem like the lock will be released accidentally. Blade is quite sharp out of the box, not *quite* able to shave with it but close. Might hit it with a stone and tweak it up a bit. For the money, a great knife to carry on Sundays, or any day for that matter. It does have a little size and heft to it, so I do have smaller lock backs that will likely be my routine EDC/

Got these as gifts for my groomsmen. Great knife. Surprisingly sturdy for the price point. Had them engraved with each of their initials and it looks great on the blade. Blade lock release is a little stiff at first but just needs some breaking in. Overall I'm very pleased.

Good looking knife and nicely priced. Negative comments by friends and associates are needs to be made into an assisted opener and it is a little to large for a pocket knife so it should have a sheath.

I bought half a dozen of these a few years ago and was really impressed by how beautiful they really are -- they look expensive, are well made and have a nice weight and blade. I had the blades laser engraved with each of our groomsmen's names to customize them. I still feel like I got a shocking deal on these and will -definitely- buy Timber Wolf again.

I got this for Fathers Day for my Dad and when it got here it was a really good size and weight and a lot better than I expected. On top of that it came out razor sharp, and the engraving I got on the blade made it all the more cooler, a little hard to open and close sometimes, but it is not a problem if you use it frequently, great knife especially for the cost.

I bought these is groomsmen gifts. They were great. Elegant and very functional. I agree that look very expensive and are perfect for gift

I got the knife in the mail and I brought it to my mom and she told me it was a waste to spend 70$ on a knife. When I told her it was only 15$ she was amazed. It came sharp in the mail and after some oil it was easy open and close. There was no give in the blade and the metal/wood looks good. The only thing that i wish it would have is an open nob instead of a blood groove.

This knife is absolutely awesome, it came razor sharp in the box. The blade is very stiff when locked, there is a nice pattern on the handle with a combination of metal and wood. Would certainly recommend.

Actually a little long and heavy for a pocket knife. You might want a belt case if you carry it on you,and yes, there are a couple of edges on the handle that could be smoothed a little, but the metal, construction, and looks are amazing. Folds and locks perfectly. Nothing loose or too tight on this one.

I needed a gift for a friend and thought the picture was too good for a $6.99 knife and expected to be disappointed. I had read some of the reviews and expected poor craftsmanship. The knife I received has excellent inlays, and outstanding metal scroll etching. It is very heavy and looks and feels like a knife that costs 4x this much. It is solid and strong and I think will take abuse and hard work even though it is almost too pretty to use. I intend to buy more as gifts.

I've had this knife for around five years, and it's stood the test of time and use exceptionally well. I've used this knife for everything from eating to utility work to camping, and it's definitely earned its place with me. I've dropped it in mud, water, engine oil, and have thoroughly abused it and it still holds a fantastic edge and is just as sturdy as the day I got it. I plan to buy several more as gifts for friends in the future.

This knife is amazing in every way! I sharpened it just a little after I got it but otherwise it was sublime! It is a lot thicker and heavier than it looks! I was stoked on that, but I've still always though websites should show their knives from the side, I would have bought a lot more being sure at the time about the thickness and whether it's full tang or not.

I love finding the great deal and was not disappointed with this one. I bought this last Christmas as a stocking stuffer or last minute go to gift. Well it went under the tree to me! I've carried it ever since and use it all the time. It looks and feels as good as it did day one. Solid snap as it locks and sharp out of box and easy to keep that way. The only possible problem is it just might be to pretty.

I bought this knife to eat with, but after it was finished beating up the toughest steaks and eviscerating the deadliest chickens, it became my carry-on. I'm an avid knife collector, and this is definitely one of my sharpest units. The blade came sharp, and it is easy to keep the edge. Overall great buy, thanks budk

this is a really good knife i bought for my husband--he probably has over 200 knives and put this one in his pack as soon as he sharpened it--he is a nut about razor sharp tools. really happy with the purchase

I just got this knife. Beautiful scroll work. Makes me think of a western gentlemen's knife. Mine came sharp out of the box although I will never use it for cutting purposes. Going straight to the collection. Has a very solid lock as well and is very sturdy. Would be good for day to say use, but I prefer to keep Mint and in my collection. Great knife, amazing price. Highly recommended.

I collect watches and knives. I have way too many of both. I buy many items, especially knives and survival gear, from BudK. This particular knife with the beautiful wood grain and engraving, for less than six dollars is an incredible value. Its weight, balance and finish are amazing for the price--actually amazing despite the price. I highly recommend this knife.

I've been collecting knives for 30 years,and most of them are still in their box. I found out about Timber Wolf from an old hunting buddy who also collects knives. When he showed me a few of his,and told me about BudK I've been buying them and the Ridge Runners by the 2's as I am using knives a lot, for skinning deers, rabbits, quail,pheasants, and frogs. I just received 2 of these and my Uncle fell in love with it so I gave him one. I was very impressed with every model I've purchased These are great for the momey, and theres nothing worse than a knfe that's real easy to open right out of the box as this is not a self defense knife, and will open easier after you spray some WD40 into it open and close it and spray it again wipe it off and put some 3in1 oil inside then wipe it down. It's made to close tolerances, so it wont be to loose. I'm going to buy a couple more as they are going to replace a knife I Paid too much money for.Thanks again BudK for a great and good looking knife, for a super price!

This is an excellent knife, I bought it on a whim and it has turned out to be my favorite knife so far. It has pretty good feel to it and is heavier than expected, which i liked. I would recommend this knife to anyone.

I am very pleased with this knife. It is beautifully crafted sturdy and very sharp. There was a bald spot on my arm the minute I got this in the mail. I plan on hunting with it this season and I believe it will serve itself a purpose over the years.

This knife is really an extraordinary value at the BudK price. It's beautifully designed with wood-grain inserts and scrollwork. Its stainless steel case is finely machined. The blade is strong and sharp, and the handle fits perfectly in the hand. I can't imagine an expensive knife being any better made. However, because of the quality of the stainless steel case, it's much heavier than the usual pocket knife.

This is a gorgeous knife. Right out of the box, it was extremely sharp, the etching is beautiful, the wood of the handle complements the scroll work very well, and it feels like a good, sturdy everyday tool. I'm buying another one for a friend. I'd highly recommend this blade to anyone.

A beautifully embossed folder. Nice scales and a nicely lined up blade-tight all the way around. A nice functional show knife with a lot of class. Hope to see more embossing, especially on stag, bone, or double cut stag scales in the very near future. R.L.

I liked the look and bought more than one--thought to give some away. Sharp to start and easy to keep sharp. Very solid lock up. The one I carry folds easily--only one of the four didn't. Trim wood come loose--Gorilla Glue fixed that. Get a lot of compliments. They do make great gifts.

A Very nice knife, the only flaw i can say i that this knife is sharp and cuts clean but it could NEVER be used to save your life. The knife has much resistance to pulling it out and the lock-back takes much force to put the knife back. Good for show, crafting projects and any time when you KNOW your gonna need a knife out. Not for on the spot drawing. Other than the resistance issues, absolutely beautiful and awesome knife! 4 stars!

Great scroll work etchings, sharp clean blade, firm locking blade, nice weight and balance. Ideal knife for dress occasions. Kidding a side great knife for the price.

The knife is beautiful and we only had a small problem with it. When it was first opened the back spring broke. I called customer service and they quickly replaced it. I am now awaiting the delivery of the knife. This happens sometimes when the tolerances of the product are a little too tight. My customer is waiting for his knife.

Very ornate, well constructed. Have not used it in a practical setting yet, or I would have given a 5 star. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

Very nice looking knife. Disappointed in the blade release lockback though. It pushes really hard, rather difficult to close the knife. I put some light oil on it and worked it back and forth for awhile while watching TV. It loosened up a little, I think it will wear in with use. I have never had a knife that worked this hard. If it closed smoother I would have given it a 5 rating.
