This is a great knife, I would highly recommend. One of my favorite knifes.

Review of Shinwa blade
I love this knife. Shinwa did an excellent job with this design. Discussing some of the visual cues first, with the knife fully opened, it has is a visible upward curve to the entirety of the knife, very reminiscent of Samurai swords. I find this particularly appealing and the one of the main reasons I like this knife so much and take it EDC so often.
Beyond that, it has an excellent deep-carry tip-up clip, very sharp blade out of the box, and IMHO very appealing artistic aspects with the various Japanese pictograms adorning the handle scales. For this price, I quite recommend this knife. I can't provide reliability data since I haven't put it through those paces so-to-speak, but I'm pretty confident that it will be providing me with a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment throughout a regular use schedule.
Also, please consider making the "Comment" window bigger for this sort of feedback, as it happens I can only see two lines of text in this window and therefore have to scroll a lot to place my purchases. This may be partially due to my PC screen resolution and scaling factor but still if there is no negative impact to increasing the font size, I request it. No need to include this in the actual item review comment, this is mainly for BUDK service technician eyes only :-).

Smooooth!
I am a big Shinwa fan to begin with, and this Black Taito is another great knife of theirs. Overall the knife is light and easy to carry, and opens just as smooth as glass!
