It's an amazing design for a light weight sword although sheath needs improvement the first time I unsheathed the sword it cut through the stitching an filleted my hand open

very light and sharp, blade isnt that thick but for me thats a bonus. Tied into the molle webbing of my bug out bag adding little weight with a nice increase in capability. I wrapped the grip in hockey tape, this is a easy fix to the paracord issue that plagues swords in this category. Im not sure why people complain about the grips when it can be solved so easily. Heck, its fun to make your own custom grips on these things, I use the orange para cord but thats just me. A perfect utility sword for the back country, so light you wont even know its there.

My dad came home with this "Secret Agent Tactical Ninja Sword" the other day. Sharp edge but going to strop it to give it a cleaner cut. Little flaw but i think of it more as character along one of the holes down the blade. Light weight but wish it was a little heavier, probably needs to be a bit thicker too. Handle is good for one or two hands. It's a must have for any collection. Sheath is but too flimsy but take a long thin piece of plastic and run it inside it'll stay. Great buy! (I got mine 2nd hand but know it came from you cause it has your logo on it and say's "BudK" on the box.)

I wanted to give this product a more thorough review. I am a martial artist with some weapons training. I bought six of these. These blades are great machetes. I have one that I use and abuse to test it's capabilites. To be good swords they need a bit more steel on them in terms of thickness and weight. The scabbards like everyone else's reviews are not very good. Some of the blades are extremely sharp and cut through the stitching on both sides of the scabbard. The rivets are the only things keeping them together. If they were made from a stiffer material like glass filled nylon or leather they would be perfect. Glass filled nylon with a molle system would be very useful as well. Some of the points were dull. I resharpened the edges and reshaped the points and work great. The wrapping on the handle is flimsy, but if you rewrap it and apply some heat it will harden the outside and prevent from slipping and come undone. Melt the end where it is tied off stop it entirely. This product still gets five stars from me. I enjoy using these blades. Just wish China didn't make them. U.S. would do a much better job and sold for much more.

This is the best sword I own, the blade is pretty sharp, everything ive tried to cut with it, always cut. My only problems are, the handle wrap is very loose, and the sheath is very bad quality, the tip is so sharp it rips through it. Still a great sword

I bought this sword about 5 years ago from BUDK. I have had my ups and downs with some of the impulse buys on this website. However, this impulse buy was a great one. Other than the scabbard being very cheap, but easily repaired with the skills and/or tools, like a stud press. When you slide the sword into the nylon scabbard, the extremely sharp point tends to poke out of the side holes between the stainless steal studs. I don't remember if the gaps between the studs were stitched originally, but the gaps are now full open. It could be a safety risk to have the sword tip sticking out of the side of the sheath/scabbard. The blade is extremely sharp and the serrated portion is quite sharp as well and can do some serious damage when used as a machete. Also, the grip is nice. It is long enough to hold with two hands. I have large hands, and they both barely fit comfortably in the two-handed position. Buy one, or get the set of two. They are worth it.

NICE SWORD, MY SON CHOSE IT OVER A CONVENTIONAL MACHETE ...HAVE NOT USED IT YET THO...WILL SEE THIS WEEKEND HOW IT WORKS. NOT SHARP OUT OF THE BOX BUT A BIT OF FILE AND LIGHT GRINDER TO THE EDGE AND ITS SHARP NOW. THE STEEL IS VERY HARD SO A GRINDER WAS REQUIRED. FOR THE PRICE I WOULD RECOMMEEND IT..YA CANNOT REALLY GO WRONG

This sword is great! This 27" steel weapon is working great for my Deathstroke cosplay! The sword arrived on time and securely in its box. The nylon sheathe covers the sword well and hasn't been torn or ripped. The sword looks great, but did have some residue on it from the plastic wrap it was in. It was an easy fix with some Simple Green. The sword is sort of sharp, but would need to be sharpened. As this was my very first sword, it was great! This price was amazing! $12.99 for something like this?!? AWESOME! Would I recommend this to a friend? YES!!!

For only $13 this was a great buy and is really great at cutting down brush. If you expect an excellent sword, dont, because its $13. But, for the money it is totally worth it. My only complaint would be the loose cords for the handle but that is easily fixed.

I loved it. It was great. the only thing I don't like about it is that the cord for the handle it kind of slides. Other then that I think BudK Did a good job for such a cheap price I would recommend this sword to anyone, beginner or experienced.

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered a $12 sword, but man. This sword is the sharpest one I've ever gotten from Budk! The construction is cheap, but solid. The sword is one solid piece, blade and handle being the same piece of metal, making for a solid full tang weapon. Nylon cords are wrapped around the bottom part, which forms a surprisingly good grip. The bottom part of the blade is completely dull, but slice or stab something with the top and the sword will delivery. The only complaint I have is the sheath, which the sword immediately cut open from the side... I guess that's just a testament to how sharp this beast really is!

WOW!!! Hubby and I each ordered one and got the 2 for $24 price. We were really hoping they would be good quality and strong but wondered for such a bargain price. We are BEYOND THRILLED with them both. This is NOT a flimsy sword, do not let the price fool you! The handle with the braided para cord is actually really great for gripping. My hands are smaller being a female so I can put both of my hands on the handle like gripping a baseball bat. My husband can too but barely. It is everything they say it is and I'd gift these to anyone I know proudly! It is not flimsy like a machete which was our fear. There is a little give but this sword is strong! We buy BudK.com all the time, they have great products and fab prices. This SWORD is NO EXCEPTION!!!

I recently bought this sword and I was impressed! It comes sharp, its light, and its durable. My only complaint is the cord wrapped handle. The cord comes loose and gets annoying when it slips. If you replace the grip it would be perfect. Over all the sword is amazing. You need to buy this sword!

Love the sleek design and feel. Love the balance about 3" from guard. A fast tight feel, easily a dual wield weapon. For the price it couldn't have been better, despite other reviews. It's great, for what you give. I bought 2, and now my girlfriend wants 2!

I've purchased many items from BUDK and this is a very light weight and durable item. I'm thinking of improving the handle by removing the stock nylon cord, drilling two holes and installing a wooden piece on each side held by rivets to fit the hand a bit better.

I think its an amazing sword it was razor sharp out of the box me and a friend went and did some land scarping at his house 3 hours of use and still sharp. the only thing I would half to complain about is the sheath the floppiness of it was a draw back but other wise I would recommend it to all my friends.

This sword suprised me at how mean it looked. I love the weight (light enough for women to swing eaisly). My only complaint is the grip wrap and the sharp end of the handle, needs to be ground down a bit so it doesn't cut into the outside of your hand while swinging. Other than that, awesome and excellent service. sword :-)

I ended up buying one sword, and accidentally bought another, but was one of the best mistakes I've made in a while. This sword is extremely sharp, lightweight for maneuverability, and extremely slick. I am a sword collector, and this is a wonderful addition for anyone else who is.

Okay, so I'm not a sword fan, I'm a knife fan. Bowie knives, daggers, tactical pocket knives are usually my purchases. Tell you the truth, I just got sick of seeing this on the homepage and the catalogs so I finally bought one. When I opened it I had to wipe the excess oil off of the blade and as I did this, I saw how sharp this blade was. I took it outside and attacked some evil cans. It cut right through them. Excellent sword, might buy another.

This sword is the coolest. As soon as i got it i was amazed at its sheer awesomeness. After i got over the fact that i was holding it in my hand i noticed though, that the para-cord on the handle wasn't as tightly wrapped as it could be. So i took off the rope and re-tied it as tight as i could, now it was perfect, well, almost. It was pretty sharp when it first arrived, so i gave it a good sharpening. Other than that this blade is light, strong, and awesome looking.

This sword was the first sword I have ever gotten, and the second item I have got for my collection. This sword is Legendary! It's sleek, it's beautiful, and it's SHARP!! This sword is so sharp, it actually cut through it's own sheath. This may sound like a problem, but not to me. It actually is a great sign of it's quality and sharpness! If you ever get the chance to buy this, DO IT NOW!!! thanks budk, I will continue to buy your products for many, many years to come

I picked this sword up because I wanted something a little better than a machete as I was going to be on the island of Lian Yu. This sword worked like a charm. The sheath fit perfectly on my back and I was able to draw it from that position without any problems. The blade has a good weight and can be swung easily with one hand. I highly recommend this blade for anyone who wants a good tactical blade that looks intimidating. This blade is now my go to blade.

ohh geez what can i say about this sword.. well lets start out with that beastly point, you could poke it into just about anything, now for that blade its decently sharp, the ideal trait of this blade i must say is the saw feature in the middle of the blade, its so ragged i couldnt beleive it when i ran my finger down it, definetly the highlight of the sword. the grip just feels right in your hand. so overall i would recommend this sword to anyone thinking of buying.

This might just be the best 12.00 i have spent in my life. i got this for christmas, it came sharp, it was made of very thick steel, and just looked awesome! i decided to test its sharpness, so i took a plastic bottle full of water, threw it up into the air and swung! it sliced it right in half. this might just be the best deal you will find on a sword. anywhere!!!

Absolutely great sword, just got it and it is duper sharp. The only concern that I had was that Fed Ex didn't exactly take the best care of it and it ended up with a hole in the end of the shealt, but if you where thinking about ordering it I would tell you to go for it.

This is an amazing sword, they could easily charge at least $30 for it it is INSANELY sharp and can easily go through at least 6 layers of cardboard stacked and 2 inches of it still stick out the back of the cardboard and I can't even explain how sharp the serrated part is, could easily cut down a small tree with the serrated part and with enough force could probably easily cut through bone (good for zombies, lol) amazing sword.

I finally got the chance to field test this sword last week. My brother needed some help clearing away the brush and trees growing in his yard. And let me tell you, $13 has not bought me more fun and satisfaction. I slashed through thorn bushes and honeysuckle almost effortlessly and even hacked down a two-inch diameter tree. The wrapping around the handle came loose quickly, but I replaced the wrapping with duct tape, so no problem. After the day was done, the sword was in need of a sharpening, but for the price, I don't think I could have found a more kickin' sword. Thank you BUDK!

I recieved this sword yesterday and it is so epic. It came super duper sharp and I slit my fingers on it. Its a solid chunk of steel and is rock solid. The handle is really nice which is wrapped in cloth type stuff. Budk is the best sword company in the world. By this sword!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sword is amazing and is completley worth the money. The sheath is a real peice of sh**. Had for a week and already cut the small cord holding the sheath together. The sword itself is of amazing quality. I rewrapped the paracord on the handle and it stays perfectly.

Excellent buy, very cool and sharp, balanced and sharp excellent choice for all all collectors, I can't hardly believe I got this for 12.00! Wrapped handle becomes a little loose after use but you can put "JB" weld on the handle and re wrap to correct this small issue but this is a common problem with wrapped handles and should be expected.

The sword was perfect...everything I imagined it would be... I re-wrapped the handle for a sturdier grip and it has not disappointed. Very sharp.. very intimidating.

Sturdy, good looking and sharp. As others have mentioned, the sheath is flimsy, but the sword itself is worth the asking price and perhaps a bit more.

I took this sword for a test... I smashed its blade into another sword....from bud-k it cut half way into the other sword... all it left was a little kink in the edge....it was soo small I could sharpen it out...now I've need way better swords... but for the price.. its well worth it....BTW this in not 1 piece of steel... its 2 the handle is welded on... its still good..and it does not come sharp.. But I must say that the steel is good.

This sword is amazing weapon, at least the one my friend has, we were messing around with it and it is quite sharp, he missed a swing and straight into my leg. I didn't even notice until he told me. It went in so clean and smooth I didn't even feel it. Great sword.

WOW!!!! What can I say! This thing is fantastic for the price. I used to get no respect around the neighborhood but now I'm like Mr. T, "I pitty the fool", everyone stays back. A word of caution however, you really need to keep the sword in the sheath until the last second, this thing screams Secret Agent Tactical Ninja!!!! The braided rope handle is not wrapped tight but it makes it easier to use the rope for other things like hanging up your laundry. Just unravel the handle, stick the sword in the ground, and tie off the other side. Good to go!

Good and solid blade. Great all around used for cutting branches with the saw blade. The blade did not come sharp but the saw did. Easy fix to sharpen on a grinder though, took only 5 minutes to sharpen.

I got two of these and they are amazing I love them, I love to go outside and start hacking at everything I see and it chops strait through almost anything up two two and a half inch trees. These are fully functional and do not dull quickly and sharpen easily. My biggest complaint is that the sheath is crap but I duct taped everything on the sheath and I have had no problems since and the only other complaint is that the handle wrapping comes undo within a week, but I wrapped it back up tighter with leather sting and the problem was solved. And the only other thing is that the tips will bend but you can bend them back easily by stabbing a tree and bending it the other way. These are fantastic swords and they are the best for the price. Another great one for budk, thanks.

Item received in a very timely manner. The item was sharpened without and signs of wear or scuffing. The price for this item was very awesome. I also agree that a rubberized handle would improve the control while extended the durability of the item. Overall, very awesome. I would recommend this item for any knife or sword collector. Thank you.

This is one of the nicer pieces I have purchased from BudK. Though billed as a "secret agent" sword, my opportunities to engage in murder and sword fights are somewhat limited, so I decided to take it outside to work on some trees that were down. The saw serration on the bottom of the sword successfully sawed through a branch that was about 5 inches in diameter. The point survived several attempts at stabbing hardwood stumps and tree bark. The non-serrated sword edge was able to chop through various smaller green trees and branches, with no visible wear. However, the sword was dull out of the box, and had to have an edge applied before all this. Secondly, the paracord handle repeatedly slid up the handle while engaging in the more vigorous of these activities. This is an excellent piece, one of the finest I have purchased from BudK. It would be made exponentially better with a nonslip, rubberized handle.

Okay please budk the sword is amazing and I think it is better than most of your other swords, only thing keeping it from being the best of all of them is the sheath. The sheath is horrible. After unsheathing it once its gonna cut it and destring it and sewing it back up makes no sense because its just going to happen again...please please please pleasssssssse make a sheath for this one like you did for the timber wolf sword an abs hard plastic sheath and put it for sale for the hundreds like me that are head over heals in love with the sword and hate the sheath with a passion..(I usually make my own sheaths but they are all leather and nylon, but for this one it NEEDS a higher quality than just that.)

I got it about 3 months ago the shipping was really fast in 2 days it arrived. It came dull but that was fixed . Also its a great buy I think one of budks best swords. Light and feels solid I have no complaints what so ever . All in all its a great buy.

This is the best sword ever, I went out side to test the it out it was strong for its weight chopped soda cans, branches, and brush. Being my first sword I don't have any way of comparing if it's good or not. The sword was perfect still razor sharp, the only thing was cleaning it when I got it the plastic left glue, and came off with wd40. Fixed the sheath with staples and the sword doesn't cut the edges anymore when I re-sheath it.

I loved it, not sharp but that was an easy fix. I also re wrapped the handle cause it was kinda loose. I love the pattern it has so I didn't change it. I cut my self a few times and the serrations cut the side of the sheath, it doesn't slip out or anything like that just there's space where you can see the sword.

Awesome looking sword for a great price! Love the cutouts and weight of the sword too. Just bought it recently and it DID have some dried oil or something on it and wasn't super sharp either. But those are problems easily fixed in 5 minutes. Probably going to get another to get some double wielding action! Highly recommended sword!

I loved this sword. Pretty sharp out of the box cut down some branches with it but it dulled. Nothing a wet stone can't fix. The wrapping comes undone pretty easily as well but also easily fixed. I didn't really like the sheath at first but it allows for you to pull the sword out without making a noise. So besides the little negatives this sword is awesome and for a great buy.

Excellent buy for such a cheap price...I tend to stay away from budk items, but this one is excellent. Although like most will say, the sheath sides come apart but there is still clasps holding it all together. Although the handle is cheap nylon string, it holds well and has excellent grip. Not As sharp as I thought but could still very easily do a bit of damage....also it looks b****s as h**l.Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. Nice feature sword. The quality of the sword is excellent and we are extremely happy with our purchase. My husband is in sword and knife heaven today and I fear that I will not get him back anytime soon. This being our first purchase from BUDK we were not sure what to expect. The price is right, shipping is reasonable, and the products are of good quality. This particular sword is a must have and we will be back for more.

This sword is amazing it is pretty sharp I bought it for my brother but i am most likely going to buy one for my self, the shape is really cool. The handle is wrapped pretty tight so it wont come lose easily. It is really light weight. Buy it!

Alright, listen up. It came in 3 or 4 days, and when it got here, i couldnt have been happier. Sword is 27 in long, 1/8 in thick, and black; not grey. The black instead of grey was awesome. 4 of 5 on the sharpness. I took out a 2 in branch in one swing. And the teeth are mean, dont be too sloppy with it, you'll get hurt. If i knew what this what the deal was with this one from the start, i would've payed $50 for it. If your in for strength, it won't break unless you purposely try. 5 of 5 all round. I can't believe it was only ten bucks..

This sword is without a doubt the best sword on the site! Its sharp, sleek, and has the greatest design to it. This is definitely budk's finest blade ever, anyone who doesn't have this should place an order right away. Well, this sword is just great. Its wider than i thought it would be. I got it about half an hour ago, and I've been busy putting it through cardboard, wood, and just about anything i could find. The shipping was amazing, it took two days, and it came exactly when it said it would. For ten bucks, i couldnt have hoped for any more. I'd say this is a sword more for people who like to actually use it, and break what ever they see. Luckally, thats what i like in a sword.

This Sword is everything as advertised and better. Though not "razor" sharp, sword is sharp enough right out of the box. I hate how so many people feel you need a razor edge on every blade you have. The sharper the blade, the thinner the edge, and the easier it is to nick and damage. The feel, balance, and heft of the sword is spot on. The sheath, though listed as nylon, has a leather lining, which makes the draw of the sword very easy and very quiet (Perfect for sneaking up on any nefarious character). You just can't beat the quality of this sword for the price. My only regret is that I did not order more.

Arrived today and I couldn't be more pleased with the sword. The sheath however, is absolute garbage but that has no bearing on my fondness for this blade. The cutting edges aren't sharp (which is to be expected) but having the serrated edge makes up for it and this baby was cutting down bamboo right outta the box. Great deal over all. Would highly recommend as a camping tool.

This sword is really sweet! It has a nice ninja look to it and has a nice sheath. Although not sharp at first, as most BUDK blades aren't, it easily sharpens and becomes a killing machine. The steel is of great quality. When it arrived, i don't know if it was the heat or bad oil, but the blade oil was sticky and left a weird residue on the blade. It easily scrubbed off, but was a little bit of a setback. Other than that great purchase, balance, quality, overall Great sword. BUDK rules!

Best sword for under $200 Ive ever bought, well best machete would be more accurate (Ive spent A LOT more money on swords that don't even come close) the cord wrap is bad on this, if you untie the wrap it will expose two wooden shims taped to the handle, if you then feed the cord through the hole at the bottom with a knot on the end, run a bead of glue up each side of the wooden shims and wrap it horizontally (tightly) up the handle it will be a great wrap and very comfortable.

This is a very nice blade, especially for the price. It is a good short length, feels sturdy, and very light. Slides cleanly in and out of the sheath. If sharpened a bit, would make a very handy, practical weapon.

Hello there Had this sword a few months now and thought now would be a good time to write a review so here it goes. The item arrived in amazing time exactly 4 days and early in the morn of the forth day. It came Well packaged and with no residue upon ether blade handle or sheath. The blade itself was a bit sharp but the teeth were exteremly sharp and caused some minor Injurys and taught a new sword owner a few lessons-chuckles- the tip how ever was Sharp and strong. the handle was only one of three parts i was unhappy with and that is because the wraped corded moved about... ALOT so i removed it and added a few layers of blade ducktape and problem solved. Then the sheath-sighs- the sheath as i have noticed on here the sheaths are always a big problem this one is no different the poor make splits easly and i have been stabed in the side when i sheathed it and the blade cut thru the fiber and in to my side anouther lession learned. as for strength it is slightly bent but i belive it eather arrived that way or was sat upon because i can not for the life of me bend it back it did how ever cut clean thru 3/4 inch PVC piping with a good wack which is honastly better than i expected from a 10 dollar blade... in terms of care it sharpened easly and holds its edge. The handle is big enough for two hands makeing it great for power and its blade from finger tip to elbow(blade only not handle) is short enough for close quaters but long enough to give you some reach...All in all its quality is a matter of Prespective while it did have problems it is after all only a 10 buck blade and for only 10 bucks its pardon my languge one hella good buy and worth every penny

WoW, Lightning Shipping! Ordered on Monday, Received that same Wednesday. I know it's Stainless Steel and not High Carbon Quality, but I am happy with with the product. It looks fierce and has a nice feel when holding it. For the Price you just can't beat it. The wrapped cord around the handle wasn't as loose as I thought it would be from the reviews I'd read, but I'm sure a drop of glue here and there would tightened it up just fine. I'm not looking to strike this against any metal objects, mainly for display and protection against unwanted intruders. For that, I think it will suffice nicely. The Sheath is definitly cheap, a buddy accidentally pierced the knife thru the side of the sheath as he was putting it back in. (and I was just about to warn him from the reviews I'd read.) I'll superglue it to fix it.<br /> All around happy with my purchase and think you would be too.

Ok so pulled the box out today and the box was squished but the item was perfect condition. Everything on this sword is amazing, the look, feel, weight all perfect, it seems a bit small but its actually perfect as well. The point is actually really good, the blade itself not so sharp, but easy to fix that. Overall awesome buy, i may get another one. ;)

This is a well designed sword. Came right out of the box sharp, and the shipping was fast. The sheath isn't that bad and the wrapping on the handle will get lose, but if you tighten it using the extra cord coming off the handle(I had about 6" of slack cord) you shouldn't have a problem. Buy two, they look epic hanging on the wall going across each other.

It Was Okay Really Nice However, The Tip Bent But Was Easy To Fix The Only Reason It Bent To Begin With Was It Got Stuck In A Tree (Don't Ask) Could Have Been Sharper Also The Wrapping On The Handle Was Abit Lose So I Rewrapped It Tighter And The Plastic Ribbon Under Eventually Ripped And Came Undone But Electrical Tape Makes A Great Fix Abit Shorter Then Expected However An Excellent Short Sword And A Great Buy.

Great item! Everything about it is perfect. Except one thing - The nylon cord handle. When I swing the sword, the cord wrapping moves out of place a bit. I think it just needs to be tighter. It's not a big problem. Also, the sheath isn't all that great. It doesn't really have sides, the sword can poke out when your trying to slip it in. But I don't care about the sheath, I bought this to hang on my wall. So I'm not including the sheath in my rating. Just the sword, which is completely awesome!

I bought one of these for my girlfriend... she loved IT. i was completely surprised at how cool it was.. so i ordered one for myself... of the 9 or 10 swords i have this one is on the top of the list next to my katana... sharp light weight.. sturdy .. and attractive looking.. i made my own leather sheath cause the one it came with just wasn't up to par.. over all 5-5. I must say, these swords are awesome! They're more lightweight than I thought they would be, though also shorter... When I pulled them out of the packaging, they had some strange Damascus-style imprint on them, but it comes off over time, leaving nothing but ridiculous efficiency and a definite feeling of power when you hold them. These are my new favorite training weapons. Bud K, You've made a mutha f***ing fan out of me.... Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. what else can i say but what a cool sword and for a great price. has pretty good weight, could have a higher center of gravity for a more controlled swing and needs a little sharpening but all in all an excellent buy. my pals have all been impressed by this one. it just looks and feels mean, without crossing into "corny" like some swords look pretty awesome but just a little silly? not this one. its all mean.

First of all, This Sword is wicked. And not only does it look good, it keeps an edge, works as a machete, and cuts through thick cardboard like paper. wielding two at the same time looks awesome. also this is a good costume item.

I am a sword collector with over 100 swords and 300 other knives and this is my favorite sword in my collection, like other people have said the wrapping on the handle is a little bit of a problem but just thread the extra string thats hanging off through the whole a few more times tie it and tread it again etc. and it wont give you any problems its sharp lightweight and easy to swing i would recommend this sword to anyone and for $13.00 its a steal

Very cool little swords and amazing value for the price. I bought 2. I was expecting a very thin machete, but it is actually quite sturdy. The nylon cord wrap was a little loose on both of them. That was the only thing that was cheap about them. I might try wrapping another layer of something over them, like some hockey stick tape maybe. Still, I'm debating buying a back-up set I love them so much. $12 to feel like a total badass, you can't go wrong!

For the price, the sword is amazing. Great blade and edge, looks cool, and feels nice. When I use it, it isn't too heavy or too light.<br /><br />The cord wrapped around the handle comes undone too easily, but securing it tighter works well enough for me.<br /><br />The sheath is probably the only thing needing improvement, and it by far needs improvement. It dones't necessarily fit across the back, especially if strapping up two of them, and when the sword is drawn, the sheath is flimsy and no longer straps securely to the body. Drawing and sheathing the blade are a pain also, as it's not necessarily smooth. If you figure out how to fix that problem, tell me, please. It's such a pain.<br /><br />Ovarall, the sword is amazing, for show or general use.<br />The sheath, well, thats another story.

I finally received my 2 swords today. I am very happy with the purchase. The swords look amazing. They had a little bit of an oil residue on them but nothing a little buffing can take care of. I am not really excited about the sheath, but it would have looked nicer with something alot more solid. I would definately recommend this sword to any sword collector....Thanks BUDK!!!

Awesome sword! The handle is wrapped very well, the Nylon cord that extends from the handle is longer than the picture shows but thats easily cut to a shorter length. Great buy, especially for the cost of this sword.

the sword itself is fantastic, a dull edge though, but the tip and serations definately make up for that fact, the nylon sheath it comes with is shit quality but it is a 12 dollar sword

Man this Sword is Awesome! Its Very Sharp and looks great. only cost $13.00 but could be sold for much more! All my friend want it and i just say its not for sale. My Brother was messing with it and cut up his hands when he barely taped it! Just shows how great this blade is.

My first buy and OMG!!! I love this blade! It is very nice, not bent, comes dull (which is good so you don't cut yourself or anything :D) but the tip is very pointy, overall, this is a great sword and strongly suggest to buy it!

i was very impressed at the quality and style of these swords (i got 2 (= ) the style makes them very very light and still durable the sharpness isnt fantastic but the point and serations more than make this sword a must buy

amazing sword, definitely my favorite, light weight and fast. the design helps for better movement while swinging it. its very durable and it can definitely take a hit. i have 3 now and i plan on ordering alot more, i cant get enough of this sword, the design is equally impressive. if your looking for a sword to buy. this one is it

Well about 15 secs after I opened it, the box it came in was completely destroyed along with a cpl other things i had laying around. I think even the larger picture on this doesnt do the teeth justice they can actually saw threw wood. What more can you ask for, for 13 bucks. Only regret was not getting one for the other hand. 5-5

hahaha u all are probably tired of me but i just sharpened my sword again and cut through an inch of steel. all that happened to my sword is a little cosmetic damage and it needed to be resharpened. i used this at a renaissance festival and people wondered if it was real so i asked permission pulled it out and threw it at a wall and it went in about 5 inches. so yup this thing sharpens well and im still happy and yes the sheath is crud but i reinforced it with ductape and cardboard rofl and i know i cant spell so deal with it.

Keeping in mind that real swords are thousands of dollars, this is a great sword! Just 13 bucks, and an awesome buy! It looks uber-ninja. my only complaint is the sheath, a little not-so-sturdy...

This weapon is my absolute favorite. It's very durable, nice size, easily swung with 1 hand because it is incredibly light. 2 of my other friends and I have personally purchased a total of 16 of these, not because they keep breaking, but because we want one wherever we are, whether it be our rooms, living rooms, vehicles, etc.

i didnt get this sowrd but it does have the same sheath as the one i have. the sheath is very nice but be careful puttingthe blade in because it will cut the threading since the seem is were the blade runs across. other than that awsome sheath.

This is intenese...especially for the price. It comes VERY sharp, so be careful pulling it out of the wrapping. There is no actual handle, I noticed, just a thin rope wrapped around the bottom of the blade. It's not a bad thing though, it's very tightly laced onto it.<br /><br />(sic) blade.<br /><br />5/5

dude i definatly need another one. i got it yesterday. its perfect for my style (twin short swords) it came with a little residue, but as stated by some it came off easy. its not all that sharp though, but thats fine with me cause i was goin to use it as a show sword and for a practice sword. the only problem is the sheath is flimsy, and u lose a star for that, but due to my surprise in quality of sword, i give the sword 6/5 which is a total of 5/5, ill be doin buisness with ya later to finnish my assasin outfit.

This is great little sword! How could you possibly go wrong for $12? I bought one of these and was totally impressed. I took it out to my sister's house who lives in the country and even she fell in love with it. It was her birthday so she made me give her the damn thing. Now I have to buy another one, but this time I might buy 2 or 3 just in case somebody else has birthday.

My advice is for $12 you'd be a moron not to buy this sword. The only downfall to this sword would be the sheath. The sheath isn't really made that good, you could easily cut through it if you put the sword in too hastily, but for the price the sheath shouldn't matter. The only other problem anyone would have would be the handle. It is good enough for average to moderate us, but if you plan on using it in extreme conditions there is a chance the handle can come undone (but there is even an upside to this). There is another layer of material under the cord and even if that goes out you can still use it because of the full tang. As for the sharpness of it upon delivery, the tip and teeth were extremely sharp, but the blade was not as sharp as i would have liked it to be (still sharp), but I personally like to sharpen my swords so i know just how sharp they are.

Oh how i love this machete. it has an extremely badass design reminiscent of movie villains. I took thing out and cut whole branches off of my backyard's flora (small branches but not twigs mind you). The rumors be true though the sheath is CRAP. complete and utter Crap. it split open the first time i pulled the sord out. oh well i need no sheath to combat the savages of the Minnesota jungles.

THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE STRONGEST SWORDS I'VE EVER USED. I LOVE IT ESPECIALLY THE PART THAT LOOKS LIKE A SAW. EVEN THOUGH IT HAD SOME RESIDUE ON IT BUT THAT CAME OF WITH WATER AND A RAG. OTHER THAN THAT THIS SWORD IS A MUST HAVE

awesome sword design... the sheath leaves something to desire though. way too flimsily however after you pull out the sword.<br /><br />the sword's design is perfect in my eyes and if anyone wanted to do anything really with this sword, it seems that the blade is outfitted at some part to do it's job.

This is my first sword that I have ordered from this site and I think it is an awesome choice for sword beginners! The full tang is pretty epic, but the blade is slightly bendy and the wrapping is a little loose. The look is awesome! The serrated middle section acts like a saw and cut through the cardboard box like butter. The look, condition, and quality is EXCELLENT.

Probably the best sword you can get for 12 bucks. Everyone complained about the sheath and I'm not any different. The sheath is cheap and could be damaged easily, IF YOUR A MORON. Just be careful with it for gods sake...like you should be with any sword. Unless your on a secret assignment and need to get the sword in and out of the sheath in a hurry it won't be a problem. The sword came with some stains on it, but I managed to get those out easily. It wasn't very sharp but I fixed that with a simple sharpener also ordered off this site. The teeth were sharp though. Wrapped handle is kind of annoying, but once again you aren't taking this deep into the congo to kill a dictator. I would give this 4 stars, but the price puts it up to 5 stars. So skip going out to lunch one day and buy this sword with the money you save, I guarentee you won't regret the 12 bucks

I bought two of these swords to use together, the blade itself is pretty great, one of them had a minor inperfection on the black coating on the blade. The sheaths blow...bad, one of them fell apart the first day, and the strap is so short, it's useless. Even with that, this sword is great for the price, as a sword collector, this recieves my Bargain Award of 5 Stars.

ok, so wow, its way short, but it says it is so cant complain there, as said before the "saw" teeth are way sharper than the blade itself, i tried to sharpen it, didnt get very far, hard to sharpen with the curves, o well. i have a slight OCD to so the wraping annoys me to!

Truly a Beautiful piece to add to my collection. It has a good length, nice and sharp, and just a gorgeous sight to behold. The sheath is appropriate, easy to carry on your back, shouldn't be too chunky or it would defeat the purpose. So far one of my Favorites. Great Deal!

Very cool looking and very sharp. From what I've done so far it also seems very sturdy.<br /><br />I wasn't entirely excited about the idea of the serrations when I was browsing for a sword, but when I tested it out sawing on something the serrations proved very sharp and handy. <br /><br />A little smaller than I was expecting, but that was a matter of me estimating measurements wrong.

I got this along with a fantasy bowie I was very pleased with both, the sword was beautifully made the only complaints i have is that the para-cord wrapping loosened at a single swing and I had to retie it myself. The tip of the blade had a small bur on it but that was solved very quickly with a metal file. I did have to sharpen though because it wasn't as sharp as i had hoped it would have been. Other than that I am quite pleased with it and will definitely purchase more blades from BudK.

Well, I received this and a Honshu Karambit in the mail today. Focusing on this sword, I'm happy overall it sliced through the brush I tested it against and the serrations do exactly what they are meant to do. That said, I'm going to have to go out to my local leatherworker and get a new sheath made because right out of the box the supplied sheath was torn down one side making it useless.

Excellent sword. Though, full tang, with a passable grip. Sheath wasn't particularly great quality, but it's a $13 sword, so what do you expect? Only complaint was that it came covered in a thick, sticky, greasy, gooey slime. Not pleasant, but easy enough to clean up. fairly sharp, to. All in all, worth the money, and then some!

Description is a little off, Would more accuratley be be considered a machette than a sword due to the thickness of the blade material. Actually this is what I intend to use it as while hiking because it is very light weight and would be perfect for that use.

Firstly, this blade is $13.00. I've had two of these blades for several years now. I've chopped acres of brush, and numerous saplings with these blades. I've beat the hell out of both of them, and all they've ever needed was a little straightening, and a little sharpening. Don't be stupid, they aren't real ninja swords. However, like most of the critical comments, there are a couple of downsides. First, cut the nylon off the handle. In 30 mins. they'll be sliding off anyways. A lot of duct tape, and little grip tape, will solidify the handle. Secondly, they need to do one of two things with the sheath. Either make it of plastic, or at least add some rods to the current sheath to make it rigid. Other than that, solid sword for sure. P.S. If you broke it, you weren't using it properly, and you would have broken any other sword too. Also, it's quite obviously a full tang, what do you think they wrapped the cord around?

It can sharp out of the box, good for display but not sure if it's really full tang.the sheath is ban there was a hole in mine and I took the blade it cut my hand got 3 stitches but overall a good buy

First, the sword arrived quickly, but the sheath was ripped open down the side. Whoever sowed this sheath did not do a very good job! Now the sword seems to good for protection but people need to remember that this a very sharp sword and is weapon, not a toy! I hold 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kenpo, and have trained with swords for several years so I know what I am doing. For the price you can't beat this sword, it's good and solid. Don't let untrained people (NO CHILDREN) play with this sword!

Nice light short sword. Grip is big enough for one or two hands. Fairly sharp. The wrapping on the handle was fairly cheap nylon string which I tore off the sword and re-wrapped it with some good old made in America 550 cord. Took me a day to figure out how to do it but looks better and feels better.

i recently received my sword in the mail and i love the feel of it but the wrapping around the handle was complete garbage came loose after first swing so took it off and wrapped it with paracord and i made sure it was tight now it wont ever come undone unless i undo it myself, also the sheath is complete crap the blade is so sharp once i put it back in it ripped it open so im gonna make my own sheath from kydex i recommend this sword but i also recommend anyone who buys it to tear the handle wrapping off and lose the sheath cause that its just garbage material those are my only two complaints about this sword but once those are fixed it will be perfect

I got these swords last week, and they seem to be holding up. The blade is a little flimsy but I've beat on em and they haven't broken yet. The paracord/ string was useless kept sliding and just cheaply done. I did buy two of these and it feels pretty bad**s to carry around. Overall im satisfied

I have been practicing martial arts since I was about 5 years old. I'm now in my mid 20's and let's just say I know a good weapon when I feel one. The weapon here has some minor tweaks like it's size and weight. It's balance and what not. Considering I paid 12 dollars for it, it has proved to be a good sword. It feels good in your hand but since it's so small They should have sold it in a two package set. It's more like an over-sized bowie knife. However, because of the serrated edge on the bottom side and the dull blade (don't sharpen it) it would make a very hard wound to repair if say, you ever had to use it in self defense. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

This was my first purchase from BudK and I thought for the price you can't beat it, Well I was right. I ordered two and both were very sharp right out of the box, though they dulled with cutting. This was my second purchase from BUDK and I have to say that when I ordered the sword I wasn't expecting much because of the price, but boy was I impressed! The solid steel blade is perfect. all around good sword mine came a little dull the saw part of the sword was sharp tho only downside is that its two peaces and not 1 when you take the handle off and the 2 wooden stick braces you can see the handle welded to the blade. just makes me wonder why they couldent of just made it all 1 peace would of been just as easy to do and you would have a stronger sword.

I recently ordered two of these swords. They maybe stamped stainless steel, but once you hone an edge on them they become deadly. They are light, and the nylon wrapped hilts do a fair job with grip ( i re-wrapped mine) All in all worth twice what i paid for mine. If you got 12.99 kicking around there is no excuse to not buy one.

I overall really like this sword, it's a bit shorter than I thought it would be , but since I purchased two to use as twin swords it all works out. I'm a little disappointed about the sharpness , the tip of this sword and the serrations are very sharp, but the overall parts of the blade aren't. I'm pretty sure this is the same sword offered on [3rd party merchant removed] for $12 just without the logo stamp. One last thing is that sheath doesn't have two lower metal studs, it still safely holds the sword and is a pretty good steath though.

I just Got The Sword 11/3/11.. I Unwrapped It And Looked It Over With A Fine Tooth Comb. I Come To Realize That The Sword Itself Is Bent To The Left Right After The Handle Ends.. Looking At Eye Level With Blade Up(no obstruction from the handle ties) I noticed A Bend Of About 3 degrees to the right. Also At The Blade, past the serrated edge, It Is Not A Smooth Contour Up To The Point. it Dips up into the sword and then Continues Its Normal Contour. No Dullness Of The Blade In That Area But Its Still There. Overall blade is Sharp And Sturdy. Just Need To Re-bend Sword Back Into Place.

I was really excited when I opened the box to the sword. The sword is great quality steel. I was just really disappointed on how dull the blade is. So before you think about buying this sword you might want to look at buying a sharpener for it, or else you will be having trouble cutting even the smallest tree branches.

For only $10, a great buy and a must have for any short sword lovers! Very light, very sturdy, and the handle doesn't cut into your hand like some of the other simple nylon-wrapped handles. The design of the edge is ugly (in a good way); if you cut into somebody with that, it won't cut, but rather maim and tear. I tested it on a dead pig's carcass (very close to human flesh) and the sword completely ended it! Very nasty looking cuts, but each one was smooth and effortless.<br /><br />I did get mine dull, however. It isn't too big of an issue, seeing as what it did to that pig, but it should be noted anyways. All in all, I'm satisfied, especially for the price.

The sword itself is masterpiece the wrapping around the handle is very loose but can be very easily fixed As for the full tang part it's not exactly battle ready but if you were forced to use it against someone it wouldn't definitely go straight threw them with a single thrust but the blade isn't very sharp. But overall it's one of the best swords I own and it's only ten dollars!

overall this sword is amazing especially for the price i actually cut through a foot ball with it haha. it is not good for blade to blade contact and it is slightly off balance so u have to grip it closer to the blade. it came sharp about a week later and some wd40 makes it shine real good

awesome sword i will be buying from them again the cord needs a little tweaking because it tends to come undone but the good thing about the sword would be if you needed it in a emergence or something like that.

It took like 4 days for the sword to come, and when it did, it was pretty sweet. It was in great shape except for the sticky resin that was on the blade, but that was easily removed in less than a minute. Another thing was that the tip of the sword wasn't as sharp as i expected, but its no big deal.

The sword looks very nice, i have no plans for using it but it seems pretty sharp. A nice piece to hang on the wall or to show off, but the sheath isn't the best, mine came with the bottom torn i might be able to sow it together but otherwise it's a great buy.

The laces on the end come off easily, but that can be solved by re-knotting it in a way so that it won't slip. I ordered two. Lacing is a little loose on the handle, but can be readjusted. Comes really sharp. The scabbard is functional. Balance is good. Good for one hand short sword.

it is a great sword the biggest problem is the handle wrappings loose and moves around alot. Secondly the sheath is a piece of crap, mine fell apart and i cut my hand because of it. The blade itself though is excellent, and it looks amazing. Over all it was a good buy!! Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. We have updated the review to reflect the appropriate spelling.

Great Swords, the only problem is the nylon sheath needed to be re-stitched after a bit of use, but for price wise it cant be beat.

Very Nice Sword!!! I bought 2 just for the h*** of it! they came with a decent edge on them, but the nylon cord slides a little bit when you swing 'em around. Needs a different kind of sheath! Overall, I DEFINITELY got my money's worth!! Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. We have updated the review to reflect the appropriate spelling.

i got this for my birthday, and i really have been wanting one of these, i was awestruck when i opened it. As said before there is like a weird pattern on it, but easy to clean. Mine came unsharpened, and after putting it in the sheath a couple times it tore through it a little(nothing some duck tape cant fix) all in all an awesome sword for a great price. the saw area is the sharpest. Got mine a short while ago. Really like the way it handles doing a figure 8 sword kata. It really sharpened it up nice. I've read in other reviews that people had issues with the scabbard. I could see how in time how it might have problems. So right away I reinforced it with black duct tape which really helped with making it sturdier. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. i've had much experiance in purchasing blades like this and i like to do my research before i buy and this is definitly the cheapest i've found in combination with shipping. this is one of the mid level blades i've purchased of the dozen or so i own. its not too bad of a blade for the price. the blade is both light and sturdy, but after extended periods of use your hand becomes sore from the nylon wrapped handle. it came semi-sharpened but will be quite sharp once i use my stone on it. the sheath isn't all that great, its a lot wider and bulkier than i expected and it is a little big for the blade. <br /><br />the only problems i had were the sheath could be a lot smaller and fitted to the shape of the blade and whenever it came, the plastic was stuck to the blade and left residue behind, but i was able to get it off with some nail polish remover. overall i would recommend this to anyone. good blade and you can't beat the price (believe me, i've checked)

I really like this sword. It looks very cool and comes sharp enough to cut boxes and so forth. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is the sheath. It is impractical. Besides that though, great deal for the money.

There was a little oil on the blade and sheath but it was easy to buff off. It's somewhat difficult to unsheath because of the blade design but i found the more you pull it out and put it back in the sheath it gets easier, the sheath just has to get the feel for the draw of the blade. It comes with a backstarp but it is not functional. Also the nylon was a little loose but it was nothing some super glue wouldnt fix. Needs a little sharpeing if you are actually going to use it, but otherwise it was completely worth the $13.00 Great Job Bud K

This sword was really, really sharp when it arrived. Sharp enough to cut through the sheath and give me some nice gashes on my fingers. Other than that possible hazard, the sword is really nice. It has a nice weight to it, and you can really do damage to cardboard/wood. I recommend stapling the edges of the sheath though, otherwise you risk your fingers.

well i think this sword looks pretty awesome, and as all of you should know, these knives are only to collect. lets hope you dont buy one to try and do damage to something. i knew it was only to collect, but i still wanted to sharpen it to see.. cant really be sharpened. ive tried, and it dosent really sharpen at all. stays dull, which is a good thing. but the teeth like ridges are pretty sharp. you may have read another review of them cutting the box in half, but only if you hit it right with the ridges. ive also cut the box in half. overall, pretty good collectable. i rate this a 4 out of 5.

Wow. I bought this cuz it kinda looked cute. I am starting an all-round sword collection and made this my 4th installment. Honestly, it's my favorite piece from the moment I took it out of the box. 3 problemos, but minor. 1st, sword is slightly curved. To notice it, i held the sword out and held it flat, curved up slightly. 2nd, the strap on the sheath is WAY too short. and it adjusts to be even shorter. 3rd, the wrapping on the handle comes loose way too easily. A definite must have.

This is a lightweight easy to use sword. It sharpens to razor shard and is good for looks and real use. I liked it so much that I bought a total of FOUR. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the sheath is too flimsy and is only a problem when putting it back and taking the sword out is not affected. Buy it for looks or buy it for hacking brush it works.

As promised, in the above review, I did return for another purchase of this product. It is no less in quality than the first one. I will much enjoy sharpening it, and know that it will perform as does my original purchase. If you have pondered ordering this item, do not delay any longer. Perhaps too late for a Christmas gift, but one guaranteed to it's recipient very happy. I love it, and plan to order several more for friends. I want to witness the expression on their faces, when they open the packages. The only thing that I do not like about the product is it's name. This is a utilitarian gift that will be much appreciated, and if it for yourself, it will be a friend that will be there if and when you need it. Bud K sells excellent products, priced for giving and reselling.

Mostly used for camping. Great for the price! Not too sharp out of the box but handles being sharpened very well. Serrated section of the blade really does work nicely. Feels great in hand and comfortable adjustable cord handle (I replaced mine with black leather). Is heavy enough to use as a machete yet light enough to not be a burden. Great balance of functionality.

This is a great bargain, for those, like myself, who live alone, in a sparsly inhabited area. It is light, easy to handle, and the blade takes a very sharp edge. I keep it close to the bed, ready for self defense. While I have not yet had to use it, and hope that I never will, I feel sure that it will respond quickly and keep me safe from harm. One always hopes avoiding the use of a weapon, but I am not hestitant in using it. My home is locked and safe with this defensive weapon. Thanks for it, and many other items that I purchased from BudK and perhaps another purchase for the holidays. They are reasonably priced and make great gifts!

Very well proportioned as far as style and weight. Light enough for swift movements and retains enough weight near the tip to add force to your swing. The serated portions are great for up close grappling. The only draw back is that it is rather difficult to keep sharp.

this is a very nice sword! the cord-wrapped handle provides excellent grip, and is easy to hold with one hand or two. there are only a couple of reasons that i did not give this sword five stars. while the tip of the sword is VERY sharp, the the curved section of the blade just down from the point is barely sharp at all. (please note that the teeth on the blade are the sharpest part of the sword, and the only part suitable for cutting.) the cords hanging from the handle of the sword are much longer than the picture shows, and begin to unravel rather easily. my only other complaint is that the velcro strap around the handle that secures the sword into the sheath makes it difficult to draw the sword quickly. other than those small imperfections, it is a very nice sword that is extremely sturdy. i highly recommend it for training or display. 4 out of 5

It was incredible, considering the price of it!<br /><br />I bought it for my little brother's Christmas gift and he is sure to love it. The blade is nice and light, and is pretty easy to control.<br /><br />There were a few problems, first of all it wasn't too sharp on arrival, but I fixed that. Then there were drops of black polish that seemed to have dropped on the blade right before it was shipped.<br /><br />Aside from that, this sword is a must have really. Cheap and beautiful!

A very good sword for the price. The fact that the blade is full tang and a decent thickness is good. The sheath is just a sleeve and is somewhat falling apart at this point, but I am being more careful with it and it isn't getting any worse. Take good care of it from the begining and it might survive a longer time. The edge of the blade isn't particurally sharp but the serated part has a bit of a sting to it. The really sharp part of this thing is the point. Very sharp, in fact, too sharp. It is so sharp and thin that it tends to bend very very easily and be a hazard. I intentionally broke off a part of the tip (a couple millimeters or so) and it is much safer and less prone to bending that way. I use this sword for alot of things it shouldn't be used for (chopping branches, as a campfire poker, throwing it in the air and spinning it, ect...) and it holds up fairly well. The black finish is really on well and even in the heat of dozens of campfires has not taken much damage. Overall a good blade, worth the money if you want a sword to mess around with or if you just like how it looks. Loses a star because of the fragile tip and junkie sheath though.

Ok well for only $11.99 it was a great deal ive taken down trees that were at least the size of a half dollar in just 1 swing. The only complantes is when ever you swing the rope wraped around the handle pulls up and gets all kinds of gaps in it (i have a little ocd is gets on my nerves alot) ANYWAY i also droped it out of a tree to see how far it would go into the ground and it bent the end cuz it hit a root but nothing that a hammer didnt fix well anyway a great sword for the price 4 outa 5

I am not sure the quality of the handle, for it is made out of string, but it seems durable. The blade has come rather dull, as well I am not sure if it is supposed to or not. The design of the blade is nice, intimidating, all as expected. The sheath is flimsy and really only works to hold the blade until unsheathed once, if you were to put it on your back and not want it 3 inches loose.
Jun 10, 2007
(4 out of 5)
This is well worth it. It has a durable, kickass design, with a nice darkened blade which makes it easier to conceal at night. My ony complaint is that the sheath was pretty crappy. It was more of a sleeve than a sheath, which made it hard to pull out quickly. Apart from that flaw, this is an excellent deal, especially since it costs only $12 (plus shipping). This sword is well worth your money.

I just got this sword today and so far, it's pretty nice. I like the feel of it and it seems really sturdy. It is also pretty sharp. The only flaw is that the length is a lot shorter than what I've expected and the case that came with it, the strap is already broken!! They did a poor job on the sewing on the straps but the sword is awesome! Great for the price too!

wow. hmm what can i say about this. Well the sword is perfect size to hide the blade parts arent that sharp tho but where the saw is is realy sharp i now have a cut on my thmb and its hard to type =( the tip is realy pointy and well do alot of damage if you stab with it it will cut but barly. the case is kinda cheesey but i like it easy to store.so all in all i like it. very good for price tho when u get it make shure to wipe the blade to get the oil off. SO get this is nice it you want to wack stuff with it =) but becareful for the saw!

its a good looking sword but the handle had to have a few adjustments and the sheath was torn in the middle when first opened the package and the swords not even sharp at all I would mainly use it for a practice sword,a display one, but not self defense

The sword wrapping came off fast so i wrapped it in duct-tape. DID NOT SOLVE PROBLEM. I unwrapped it and found the blade is WELDED on the handle. I've taken some pretty bad swings and if that broke it would've seriously injured me. BE CAREFUL
Jan 04, 2014
(3 out of 5)
The serrated edge is the sharpest area other than the tip. The wrapped handle provides grip and nothing else, dont hit a tree with it until you have a better wrap. The sheath is crap, nylon sling ripped off quickly, and the seams started to pop. With a bit of work however it can be a good sword for the price.

I saw this sword and thought the design looked amazing. But when I bought it, the sword came extreamly dull so I decided to sharpen it. When I finally got a good edge on it, I decided to test it out. The first thing I noticed was the cord wrapping was extreamly loose and annoying. On my first swing, the blade BROKE at the weld between the hilt and the blade and almost flew back and hit me in the face! I wouldnt recommend this weapon for any serious use. It would make a nice decorate piece though.

I appreciate a well-thought out, informative product review as much as the next person, which is why it's so disappointing to read mostly useless tripe from seemingly below-average intelligence folks who either can't spell or punctuate correctly, or just don't care enough to try(u kno who ur, dumba$$e$)! A monkey has more self-respect than you, so go back to school and learn something or stay off the internet! By the way, this item really looks "cool", especially if you buy 15 or 20 of them and have them hanging in every room in your house, and maybe your basement and garage, and your neighbor's bathroom, and they look even cooler if you run them through the walls of your house with the point sticking out in one room and the hilt sticking out of the wall in the next. It's even better if you manage to hit a water pipe! Awesome!

yes it was more skinny than i had imagined but still looks pretty cool also was not sharp at all only the saw teeth were kinda sharp the string handle is not very good either for it will come undone and mess up and the sword keeps geting stuck in the sheath it also seems to be poorly made because at the very tip of the sword it curves back more than it should

Interesting little blade here, love the curved edge at the tip, the cord wrapped handle seems sturdy enough... Can't wait to give this sucker a bit of light yard work... Good buy for the price alone, sure it's cheap, but hell, it's functional, what more do you want?

I bought one several years ago. As soon as I opened the package I was a little let down. It was balanced well, but too thin for my liking. I used it mostly for hacking weeds and bushes in the yard, worked great at that, but one hit up to close to the handle and it snapped in half. If they make a thicker one I would definitely buy another.

This is a great sword, comes in sharp but I sharpened my more to make it razor sharp. But there two major things you need to change in order to make this sword perfect. You need new grip on the handle ... It keeps sliding. Also a better sheath. the one it comes in is very poor and the sword cuts it right through putting it in at a wrong angle. Witch most people do at one point.

Was excited when I first got it but soon didn't like the wrapping and decided to use some P-cord and wrap it myself. I then found out that the hilt was welded to the blade under the cord wrapping from the factory. I am now weary about actually using this for real use.

I was so disappointed. The 1/4 inch steel is flimsy and the "fantasy" cutouts only make it flimsier. What's worse, it is much smaller in real life. The paracord handle is odd to grip as well. Completely useless. I gave it away to someone who knew nothing about swords.

I was severely disappointed when I received my sword because it was extremely dull and won't even poke a hole in cardboard without a lot of force! I wish that customer service would compensate me by sending a sharpening tool! If this doesn't happen then I will take my business elsewhere!
