These surprised me. Was expecting low quality replicas. They are heavy steel and great quality. Totally unsharpened, but that was just fine. I am loving these blades. The price was incredible, which made peoples eyes pop.

Beautiful swords and a great price! They make nice addition for a collection and impressive for a gift. The swords look like they cost a lot more than the purchase price.

I just received the pair and I love them! They are solid and perfect for realistic decoration and that is why I purchased them. Bring out the Roman gladiator in you and get these fine swords. LJP

Great swords. Pretty well made. Bought them as a Christmas gift for my son who collects swords and weapons just for fun. He loved them. The nylon case is also very sturdy. I’ve bought several swords from Bud K and I’ve never been disappointed!

These two swords make the 6th and 7th I have purchased. They are perfect for the photo shoot I have coming up. Not to mention the quality is very good. I am very pleased with the quality of the swords up to this point.

Sexy.
These swords make anyone at least ten times as sexy as they would be without such blades. The edges come blunted, of course, but that's fine with me. The sheathes fit beautifully on the back, and allow both blades to be drawn simultaneously, with much flourish. You must be ever careful as you place the swords back into the sheathes, as they are on your back, and made of cloth. If you sharpen the blades, you run a little risk of stabbing yourself in the back. But it would be worth it, as these are beautiful, solid, amazing swords. Buy them, you will not regret it. I showed up to my friends house, with gifts in my hands, and they wanted to see these swords before anything. The insanely pointy tips will thrust into cardboard as easily as wet paper. You will not regret putting the money down to get these. They're bigger than I thought they'd be, and I am 110% thrilled that I bought these. Now, excuse me, I'm tired of writing, and must go chop up some fruit with my pair.

Great Swords
I just received my two Gladiator Swords yesterday. They are really good. Very lite in weight & easy to maneuver around. Everything I've bought from Buk K has been great.

Nice!
To those of you thinking of purchasing these gladiator swords let me say they are very nice and look cool :) good for wall hanging or costumes. Not for actual use. I rated it 5 stars because I bought them for decor. The handles are smaller then I thought but look very nice. Thanks budk!

Great quality definitely going to buy from here again love the swords but came a little later than expected and one has a chipped tip to it other than that they are great strong made swords

This was my first purchase from Budk, INCREDIBLE, i have been a die hard fan of Spartacus and now i feel like him, my buddy got a different twin sword set from this site and we have been going at it with these swords and besides the expected scratches on the blade they are in perfect shape, just battle-hardened. i have bought so many more things from budk. A friggin plus. Great for duel wielding beginners and martial artists of all styles. Good sturdy hilts and blades. Also great for display or Halloween. Get them!!
Walter Donnellan Apr 25, 2012 (5 out of 5)
Excellent swords! The blades were not sharpened and I was fine with that because I'm using them as props for a costume. They are pretty heavy and the back sheath holds them in pretty well. All in all a good purchase.

One of the pegs was missing on 1 of the swords on handle, but I didn't find that to be a big deal. Great addition to swords collection. I recommend this to anyone who wants to add some good looking swords to their collection.

gladiator twin swords
First swords bought from budk, their not as sharp as expected, but they came unbroken which is a plus. And they are built good, besides the strong plastic handle. But a great buy.
jay oken Dec 29, 2011 (5 out of 5)
Great swords! they are kinda big, but that just makes them look awesomer. the only con was that the handle is plastic. But all in all, the swords are amazing!

Gladiator Warrior Twin Sword Set and Sheath
Theses are the best just got them today, they are tight and strong, yes the reviews are right they are not sharpened but zi didn't care because I have a water wheel and a sharpener that gets all my blades to a razor edge. Buy theses swords. Budk knows how to make your eyes shine.

Cheap but not bad
Bought these a while back. They aren't meant for combat but as display pieces they aren't bad. The blades could have been done better but at $20 you can't really complain. The handles are plastic but it's not a deal breaker. Just wish more work had gone into the blades. The scabbard is junk but I don't us mine, tried using it once and realized it was a pain trying to get the swords out.

Good wall hanger
These are what they are, and that is, inexpensive and more or less decorative. They are fine as wall hangers or for practicing 'forms', but for actual sword use? Or to use as a machete? Forget about it. The handles are too slick for a proper grip, the blades will take an edge, but won't hold one, especially if used in live steel! IF you're looking for a decoration, costume piece or proper weighted training tool, they are worth every penny. IF you need an actual 'gladiator' sword, spend the extra money and buy the UC Combat Commander... http://www.budk.com/product/United-Cutlery-Combat-Commander-Gladiator-Sword/177839.uts

Good buy
I purchased this set for an Easter Passion Play for the Roman guards. We made a couple more authentic looking sheaths and they worked great. I would not buy these as a useable sword but they look good for what we needed.

Great set
When I first got this sword, I was pleased with it. I was a bit stupid with it and used one to try and break a glass bottle. When that didn't work, it became wobbly. I later figured out that if it's wobbly, you can just twist the pommel and it tightens. I took it around on hikes and one time, it started wobbling, so I tried to tighten it. It then just came apart, not completely, though. But when I got home, I just took it apart, and got the whole thing apart. I am going to try and make a dagger out of the blade, somehow. I will let you know how that goes, maybe. I still have one left, and it is tight. It is a great sword and I would definitely recommend it to not only Greek and Roman history fans, but also anyone. It's excellent!

The swords are amazing, but hard to fit into the sheaths. They are unsharpened, but overall really nice additions to any collection, and you can't beat the price!!!!!
kevin enciso Dec 29, 2012 (4 out of 5)
pretty nice does not come sharpened so dont expect it to be working. the handle for one of my is a bit messed up since it looks like its not put in well or something but cant expect perfect swords for $19.99
jeremy ressler Nov 06, 2012 (4 out of 5)
these are really tought little swords. my only complaint about this is that the sheath is light and cheaper feeling and i dont see it lasting a long time. but the swords themselves are great.
mike keppley Oct 05, 2012 (4 out of 5)

Set
Just got mine today... let me start off... Amazing... my first sword purchase... one of the handles is loose, but that's fixable. Apart from that, great. Not totally sharp but hey neither is my girl and I'm still with her haha. Thanks Budk.
Jason Ramirez Jan 06, 2012 (4 out of 5)
Very nice. Good weight, nice feel, sheath is trash and the swords came little dirty but that's ok.
carphead0 Nov 18, 2011 (4 out of 5)
Good
Good swords. Short, but well worth the price. These are not sharpened (will not cut anything, including hands) but are very shiny. The grip, hilt and pummel are sturdy plastic.

Honestly the pic is deceiving. the tip isnt as pointed as it. the handels hurt. wide cm edges aswell as it being flimsy. price wise it wasnt bad but it still feels like a waste.
adam adkins Nov 15, 2011 (2 out of 5)
this blade arived today and the first thing i noticed is that this blade doesn't have any tip or sharpness to it. the blade cant cut anything.
Kevin Feb 01, 2015 (1 out of 5)
It is too cheap
I knew it was very inexpensive. But yes it is too cheaply made. The guard and pommel are hollow plastic. There is a very small 'rat tail' tang that only goes through half the cheap fragile plastic handle. So no I would not recommend these blades to any one. shiny metal or not. Sorry But no.
