I just got mines in. Brand new out of the box, well made, great mint condition, larger size, very sharp. It's screen accurate from the film. For over $50 it's definitely worth the buy. An awesome deal. A must have for any Expendables fan. No problems at all. I'm satisfied with my purchase once more. Also it's been a big while since I bought from Budk. Thanks again.

With true grip handle I was holding 12 by 8 inch group at forty yards in a few minutes practice. I use whiskey box with empty plastic bottles inside for target. Stops em every time.

I love these knives! I have several different sets and styles of throwing knives. Most of them bought through Budk. All of them are great knives I got for a great price. But these knives are my favorite to throw. Long distance, short distance it doesn’t matter these knives do extremely well doing both. They’re tough and last a long time. I have two sets and will probably get another one in the future. Thanks Budk

Got these knives a long time ago and forgot to write a review. These knives are razor sharp, pretty light, have a good balance, and are pretty good throwers. The only thing I am not happy with was not getting them earlier. They are one of my favorite items and I HIGHLY recommend to get them, you won't be disappointed.

These are awesome. Words cannot express it. They are huge, combat ready, and incredibly versatile. Out of all the throwing knives I have, these are the best ones. Highly recommend.

Okay first impression on this piece. They are freaking huge! Like HUGE huge! One knife easily takes up the length of my forearm. And the weight is pretty good as well. I haven't had the chance yet to throw them because of the size but I can tell that with the right technique that they can get the job done. Overall this is a very good product. I give this a solid 5.

As a reseller of BUDK products, I have been very satisfied with everything that I have ordered from them. The Expendables Kunai set however has been very successful seller for me @ $50.00 per set. The customers that buy these set have returned stating that they really enjoy the set, and more than one have bought additional sets, either for themselves or for friends. I highly recommend these Kunai, as well as many other throwing knife sets available from BUDK.

Exceeded my expectations. I wanted them more as collectibles than for throwing, and I couldn't be more pleased with the knives. Balanced,sharp,eye-pleasing,and fun to hold and show-off. BUDK always delivers a quality product which is why I remain a long and loyal customer.

so got these yesterday i gotta tell you the blades are fantastic!! the ring is really big which does make the throw i little hard at first but a quick hand adjustment and yer good to go also i can tell you this with absolute authority that thest blades part flesh like a hot knife through warm butter (it sliped from the sheath when i bent over and got my foot through my shoe) 7 stiches later im limping but very satisfied! 5 outa 5

Excellent quality! great balance! and for less than $30 alot better than I expected! Edges are pretty sharp which is a tad bit unusual for kunai, but its not like thats a bad thing! plus with their size, the edge is really useful. Anyone whos considering buying these should just do it!

I'm a non paid professsional thrower, And In my 13 years throwing knives Iv gone through alot of knifes , several types weights, and sizes. So when I came accross these Knives and being a big fan of the movie I thought to my self ( weel it wont hurt to try them out) So I purchesed them and was amazed at the perfect weight and sharpness they were, so I took em out threw them! "9 out of 10 on first try , Iv got 2 sets since last year and My only complaint is that the sheath breaks down faster then Id like, but all the knives are in perfect condition except 1 broken tip and that was after a year.

Very Very amazing knives! I got them about 3 days ago and have just started to really get the jist of these knives. I would not suggest these for any beginner knife throwers. The circles on the ends of the knives if you are throwing them from that end will make the knife twist in the air and mess up the direction. You NEED to throw these knives by the blades. Overall these are AWESOME knives and would suggest them to anybody into knife throwing! I am 100% pleased with my purchase!

These knifes are sooo awesome they are my best buy so far. The knifes are sharp right out of the box. Most of the time you have to sharpen them but these are already sharp enough. The sheath is great but if you are not careful they will make a hole in them. If I was you and you were looking at these knifes I would buy them now. 5 out of 5 rating great knifes.

These knives are razor sharp and very durable, but the tip is sensitive so don't throw at a angle when throwing at a target could snap the tip, happen to me but it was below 30 degrees, so cold could be a factor, and the handle grip does come of very easy but I think its so you cant wrap a different way that fits your grip preferences like the strider wrap, great knives for the price and the performance.

Just recently received my knives and I was amazed at the quality of them, the balance is perfect and I went and just threw one of them and it stuck an inch into my wall and I didn't even have to throw hardly at all.

Sheath is nice. Straps on the sheath could be thicker but still excellent.<br /><br />The knives themselves are great! Exactly what I expected. Sides just needed to be sharpened, but other than that, they're excellent.

I freaking love these Kunai knives. They're nicely weighted, and hit hard when thrown at a target. I have no doubt that I could seriously hurt or kill someone if I were to hit them, so you have to be very careful. Awesome Kunai knives overall.

So I bought 2 sets, one for training the other for worst case scenario (combat). Using hard targets and putting on the heat, trying to master the high speed destruction, it got banged up, slightly bent, but being stainless steel it can easily be fixed and resharpened, I love the versatility, true ninja style, the sheath was cut to ribbons when I put the blades back in. I prefer the old school back when humans were strong not a bunch of little girls who quickly run for a gun. GO WITH BUDK AND GO OLD SCHOOL BE A TRUE WARRIOR!

Great knives, heavier than I expected but they are huge. Don't expect to twirl these around your fingers like toys, as soon as you hold one you know its a deadly weapon. Can't wait to start throwing them

Just got them today, very happy withe my buy, altho 1 of the straps were broken on 1 of my sheaths (bought 2 sets) it didnt diminish anything. The kunai are perfect, came very sharp, didnt see any nicks or anything on the edges. If your a fan of The Expendables, and of kunai these are a excellent buy.

i started throwing not too long ago, and had tried various other styles of knife, until finding that the kunai has to be my favorites. And when it comes down to kunais, for the price, these are a true bang for your buck. Right out of the case the weight was noticeable and i could tell they were prepared to do damage. When placing my finger in the exact center of the knife (around where blade meets cord wrapping) i noticed they were perfectly balanced, and very very easy to throw, and judge spin. I've thrown them overhand, underhand, and with no spin at all multiple times and have been nothing but satisfied. also, as a damage test, I allowed these to ricochet off onto pavement (landing point down plenty of times) and they have only lost their point a very minuscule, unnoticeable amount. Truly worth all 30$ and I highly recommend them.

as a thrower..this thing is awesome i always try to back united products there's a couple things they make that's .. but every one makes lemons at times. ok..the kunai..its a multi use weapon..not just a thrower so this thing is way too sharp to be that but if you know what your doing this is a beautiful pattern..hint..make the handle little thicker..think trowel/spade type weapon guys..

Just got these as a gift from my cousin in N.J. Wow, just like Jason Strathams in the movie! Really sharp. Can' figure out the sheath strap yet. But it works well just tucked in the back of my belt. Easy to reach and fire off three quick blades. Are knives quicker than bullets as Jason says? Stalone almost agree! See the movie , its awesome! FYI, add a red tassel or string to each ring! I almost lost one in the leaves while throwing! Now I just look for the red string, and easily find a stray knife. Thanks BUDK for so much fun!

Just got to see this set and throw them. My cousin in N.J. has them. Wow! Awesome! I see why they were used by Lee Christmas in the movie. Really sticks in deep. BUT, attach a red florescent string to each handle ring. If you practice outdoors. The black knife color is hard to find if you miss your target or it rickoshays off the target! Just FYI! Now they are easy to find in the grass and leaves! Enjoy!

i'm genuinely speechless. right out of the box their ready for action. only concern: bad wrapping but such easy fix. i recommend nylon cord (flexible) and krazy glue. seriously rewrap it in nylon and fill in the spots with krazy glue. the two substances have a chemical reaction that forms strong durable plastic like substance. i don't know works for me. these are massive knives. perfectly balanced and can't stress that enough. the sheaths are incredible to say the least. for 30 bucks? i bought 2 sets and love them every day. very secure wearing them as well. BEST BUY ON BUDK in my opinion. another fantastic job budk. you never disappoint me.

Truly sweet! Over the years I've collected the odd movie reproduction knife or sword, and the Hibben/Stallone relationship has made them my favorites. These are faithful to the knives used by Jason Stratham in the movie, to the point that it's hard to set them up for display instead of taking them out for throwing. Thank you BudK, United cutlery and for another valued
awsome knives ive been throwing them since i got them :)...totally worth it im thinkin about buying another set and make it an even 6...but im alot better at thrwoing by the blade then the handle

I was just messing around on my first throw of these. I just threw as hard as i could just to mess around. To my surprise this thing stuck a full inch into my tree. And i wasnt even trying. From about 10 feet i find it incredibly easy to stick, even when throwing very hard. The sheath seems pretty durable but not really sure how i am gonna wear it. The point is very sharp but the actual blade was not so much. So it was a quick and easy sharpen. The cord wrapping actually came off after about 20 minutes of throwing with these. This is the only reall flaw i have. The material is rather thin and if you miss a couple throws it frays easilly. I rewraped it with paracord and it works even better. and it is a little more comfortable when gripping. These are great little (big) knives. especially for the price. I really am surrised at the quality of these things and just how easy they are to stick.

These are some of the best throwing knives I've seen. They are well balanced, sharp, and are a great size. The sheath isn't the best quality and the leg strap feels like it will break if you use it but overall it's a good deal for the price.

I personaly i luv these knives took a lil long to ship but thats alright<br />And the edge wuz way too sharp throwing knives are not supposed to be sharp i really hate when people say my throwing knife isnt sharp or is very dull its supposed to be dull dumbass....... well anyways they throw just fine from half spin and handle. Oh and you will start to see bending occuring if u throw alot or hits the concreate so there u go....... Ps. If u want a sharp knife get a bowie or a combat knife. Weel there u go have a good day.

If you throw a knife by the handle and not the blade I don't recommend these, I throw by the blade, half spin and it's in, their nice and sharp, decent sheath but the little Velcro part this is supposed to keep them in the sheath is pretty cheesy, should have made it a snap and thicker material. Oh, and don't bother buying the "knive throwing targets" on BudK, they fall apart after 2 hits, just use plywood or 2 x 12's.

I got these knives today, my first purchase from this site i might add...<br /><br />Hm where to start...<br /><br /> theres some flaws With the knives i got. The spine of the blades were not centerd to the tip they were slightly offset by about a cm.<br /><br />The blades felt a little cheap when held most likely because im used to my heavy thick sog knives. <br /><br />The straps easily come off. I did a few test throws about 15ft away like 3 throws on 1 knife. An it was already wanting to come off. <br /><br />The knife is way to thin and light for the size <br /><br />The knife set is also easily bent. Which is a issue because im a hard thrower.<br /><br /> The hole in the knife is a little on the large side so when thrown by the handle it catches your hand and kicks it. <br /><br />Lets go through the positive aspects shall we?<br /><br />I threw from both handle and tip during my test. The knife was fairly accurate and stuck very well. <br /><br />The knife is large which i like. <br /><br />The cord feels nices even though it wont last at all. <br /><br />The knives came pretty sharp (too sharp in my opinion throwing knives are desined to b dull)<br /><br />The knives make noise when going through the air. I like it some people may find it annoying.<br /><br />The pouch i feel could have been better and made more sturdy. But it does the job and looks like the real deal.<br /><br />Based Off the movie expendables which is a very good movie i think.<br /><br />All in all decent knives im happy with them.

Love these knives. I bought these the same time I bought an 18'' dagger from another site, and honestly, I spend twice the time with these. The knives look and feel great, just enough weight to make them feel like a real knife as well as a throwing knife. My only complaint is the sheath, I'd rather have three separate sheathes for each knife but it's easy to get your own. So overall, great knives! Also, decently sharp on their own, but easy to sharpen further.

Over all very nice set of knives. Hold edge very well. The cords seem to be holding up after lots of throws. Only down side do to the weight of the knife it is difficult to throw well holding the blade.

the kunai itself are amazing had to tighten the string though. but durable sheath isnt true the day i got them the belt clip tore off and the leg strap plus the tip started to go thru the bottom of the sheath very disappointed in that but if you dont count the sheaf its a 5 out of 5 but since the sheaf sucks ass 4 out of 5
Apr 12, 2012

The knives looked great when I got them, but I found out that they were not as awesome as I had hoped. To start off, the sheath works great. The blades on the other hand.... The wraps on the handles started coming off in the first three throws I did with them. Then the wraps came off all three, had to re-wrap them. The tip actually broke off of one of them and, upon further scrutinizing, I found that that knife was made slightly different. I also found that the ridge line was off to one side instead of down the middle of the blade making the tips weak. They throw really well, but I feel I may have wasted my money.
They are great knives stick every time if you know how to throw them, only problems I've had is that the strap to your leg on the sheath just fell off and the cord wrapping just comes off too.

These knives aren't that well made. The grip begins to comes off after the first few throws. The blades chip quite easily, and the tips of the knives bend. The only good qualities that I can say is that they look and feel great. But if you wanted to get them because you want to throw them. Then I say get the 20 dollar kunai instead of these.
Oct 02, 2011

Very well made...if you aren't planing on throwing them. Used them for about an hour all together, and the grip is unraveling, and a few chunks of metal have been chipped away. The only redeeming quality of these knives is that they look good! If you are looking for an every day thrower...keep looking!
